Humming along

Just to round yesterday off nicely, I woke in the middle of the night feeling queasy and slept really badly. So it was a slow day today. It had rained during the night, so I cried off the swimming pool and did two loads of washing instead. Lunch was easy, redoulat from last Sunday's community lunch  which had been saved for us. This is a traditional local dish I've never heard of: sausage with aubergines in a very rich tomato sauce, served with spicy rice. It was delicious. Strangely I can't find mention of it in any of my Languedoc cookbooks or on the internet. I'm going to have to ask the cooks about it.

In the afternoon I went for a very short walk and was lucky to catch this hummingbird hawk moth as I didn't spot anything else photogenic. Salade paysanne for dinner made by S, and an early night for me.
