Wonky vegetable winner!

These are some of the prize winners at my allotment show today. One of the classes was for a wonky vegetable or fruit! I did not enter anything this year as we did not have good fruit or veg and we didn’t do a scarecrow either! I could have done a flower arrangement but as I won that for the last two years thought I would give someone else a chance of glory! There was also a competition for the heaviest pumpkin.

Luckily it was a sunny day and I did manage to cut back all the lavender. No watering needed as it rained a lot in the night again and some lawns around us are starting to recover .

The family came for roast chicken meal and the twins are staying the night. We went out down by the river and they picked up a lot of conkers. I have found some suitable string and tomorrow we will play ‘conkers’ which they have not done before.
