PEI beach scene

A day of sedate travelling under blue skies. Not far though, just westward along the coast. First stop at Fort Amherst where the French established a colony before they were run off the island following that seven years war thing. All very interesting. Oh yes.
Onward to the beach at Argyle Shore and then to Victoria which attracts the tourists but we got to sit outside on the wharf and the couple beside us told us that they did the best lobster rolls around. So, lobster roll it was. For HarryJ, it was 34CAD. Of course, there’s 15% sales tax on top followed by an optional (ahem) 20% service charge, so it tots up. But it was very decent indeed.
Further up the village we came across a trio of blues singers doing a thing for the community hall. And handing out root beer ice cream floats. Superb.
So, to Summerside, a working town sort of place, where we sat upstairs at some harbourside eatery. But not outside. It had started raining. Most uncalled for.
