I didn’t plan anything for today because I was expecting a delivery of bird seed. By 10 o’clock when nothing appeared on tracking I decided that the supplier had a different definition of the word ‘shipped’ to mine.

I went out in the drizzle to deliver the church magazines. By the time I got home it was raining heavily.

I dried off, had lunch then went for a wander around the streets. At the central bus stop an open top bus to Grasmere was waiting and in the absence of any reasonable photos in Ambleside I jumped on it. Nothing much more exciting but here’s a cafe with a post box in its own little building on the side.
