Now, as I see it......

Washing day

After being away for ten days today was largely taken up by sorting a few things out and washing all the clothes.  Other than a trip to the local shop to get my newspaper this morning I've not been out, so this is my attempt at the 'High Key' theme for Mono Monday; the programme and my wrist band from the Jazz festival.

Sorry for the quick reference yesterday to having bought a car but I'm glad it was intriguing!  It wasn't quite the impulse purchase it might have seemed; I tend to hang onto cars for nine or ten years before changing them and my current one is now ten years old.  It's started having a few things go wrong with it which could be expensive to fix if I keep it longer so it's time for it to go.  I like to buy a car which is one year old to get the benefit of the initial depreciation and because I keep cars a long time I like to make sure that I get exactly what I want so I've been researching for a while.  I narrowed the choice down to two cars which had exactly the specification, colour and trim level that I wanted; one was in Edinburgh so not really practical, and the other was in Milton Keynes.  I made an appointment for a test drive and was really pleased with it, so decided to buy.  The formalities are going through now and I will collect it from MK on Wednesday this week.
