Well That Was A Surprise

I opened the blinds in the kitchen .... nothing .
By the time I picked up the kettle and filled it .... Rainbow.
Nipped and got the camera and took 2 shots.
Nipped and changed camera for one with a longer lens.
Managed 2 more shots and it had gone.

The 'new neighbours' encamped on the playing field were given 'Notice To Quit' by the Council yesterday .... by 4pm today.
They are still there this evening with no sign of going.
I wonder how long it will take the Council to do something about it. By the time they did something at the last site they took over there was 50 tons of rubbish to be removed!

I had an appointment at the hospital this morning for a memory test.
They apparently 'lost' me in the system for the follow up which should have been done last year.
Apparently I did pretty well with no real deterioration so they are not worried about me as there is no sign of dementia and I am not a danger to the public at large. Mild Cognitive Impairment is how it was described. 'Old Codgers Syndrome' is what the meant I think.

I followed instructions from the doctors and went and spent some time at the lathe ... to keep my mind 'active & focused'. I was so focused that I managed to cut through a lid I was making and ended up with a funnel. But I rectified things and it ended up looking much better (photographs when it has a finish on it).
