Packing Party
We didn’t even wake up until 7:30 this morning. I stayed in bed until Momma crawled out at 9:00. We had breakfast, showers and headed to Kristen’s. Wrapped kitchen/living room items and filled boxes until time for lunch. Then started the same thing until time for dinner. Momma wanted to help. She collected items that Kristen got out of the top most cabinets and put them on the island for me to wrap. She felt useful; a good feeling for an older person. We have certainly put a dent in packing up this level of her home. My body agrees. Skylar has decided she can pack her section of the lower level. Kristen and I will do the crammed full storage area down there - next Saturday and Sunday. The kids are responsible for their rooms so I should be finished helping by next weekend. My children always ask me to pack breakables; I am super careful and they trust me. I have also saved packing paper and air filled plastics to protect breakables. Kristen is making dinner; I am heading to the sofa. Hubby has helped Chris all day with his to do list. They are working on little imperfections here and there. This home will definitely be move in ready for any new owners. It has been listed as “coming soon”. Several folks have looked at the pics and saved the listing. They will be able to take a tour in two weeks. That’s how we spent our Labor Day holiday. Hoping yours was less busy. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet…” – Rachel Wolchin
