Last Night In Berlin

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

While The Mini Princesses went off to the duck shop (to buy souvenir ducks), The Prince and I went on a boat tour on the Spree. There are three things The Prince loves on holiday - a bus trip, a boat trip and an Irish bar so we have now completed the hat trick!

The four of us went to the Berlin Cathedral this afternoon which was stunning and then walked to Bebelplatz. The historic buildings in that area of the city are so beautiful with many of them having survived the war. In the middle of the square is the Empty Library, a memorial to the Nazi book burnings.

We had a very sociable dinner. Terry and his family arrived late evening so we all went for dinner together to Cô Chu. A lovely way to spend our last night and their first in Berlin.

Obviously The Prince and I went to say farewell to our 2 local bars. I have nailed ‘zwei bier bitte’!
