Marjorie's ramblings

The Queen of.....

...Sheba, has just enjoyed a few treats.

She lives in the chapel next door with Ian, but also spends a lot of time with Sara in neighbouring Douglas Terrace. She enjoys 2 breakfasts some mornings by convincing them both that she needs to be fed!

I was at Ian's this morning to do some more photography of his special furniture. We stared and screwed up our eyes to try to see writing on two different pieces. I tried using a long lens instead of a close up lens, and it did seem to help. Some of the marks look like doodles to me. Did furniture makers doodle on the base of furniture in previous centuries?

I have been processing the images to try to make out the marks. I think I have found a set of three numbers and the first one is a 2, but I'm not sure about the others.

This all brings me to wonder if I should convert a camera to infrared. Do any of you have expertise in this area?

I was also at the dentist today to have a mould made for a night guard to wear for my arthritic jaw joints. I'm falling apart!

Other than that, I'm knitting a lovely variegated yarn with colours that remind me of unicorns or My Little Ponies. I'm back to double knitting after 3 ply and it feels like rope!
