I had arranged to meet Ju in Southwell as she is pretty fed up at the moment. She has several health problems which are proving tricky to get resolved. She was a little late arriving so I walked around the Minster and sat on a seat to soak up some autumn sun.
We had a very nice coffee and browsed the shops. Almost bought another stone jug for the garden, but decided they were over-priced. Realised that I intended to get one from Edinburgh and forgot( and we even called in to the place that I had seen them previously)
From there we drove a couple of miles to Reg Taylor's garden centre - usually has very healthy but over-priced plants. However I found a hydrangea I liked at a reasonable price, so made a purchased. Had s snack mediocre lunch there snd a quick browse of the usual ‘garden centre but not plants’ offering, as Ju was looking for a birthday present.
Start d to rain as I drove home, so did some financial admin and vacuumed all the floors instead of getting out in the garden. The rain did stop but everywhere was very wet
