People picture .

We got the girls back home by about 4.00 pm. They were very good on such a long journey. We had a lunch break at Tamworth services where there is a bit of a play area which was good. They only got noisy and excited when we were on the road into Bath where they started recognising things.

A little wait before Grace arrived and of course they were thrilled to see her and John when he got home a little later. 

Big day for Eda tomorrow when she starts Year 3. When I went to read her a bedtime chapter of the BFG this people picture was laid out on her bedroom floor. They often do this which I think is a great idea, no decision making need in the morning it’s all ready. Note the new school shoes - they won’t look like this for long!

Jude has new shoes for school too and she was trying on dresses to see which fit her best so of course she has a people picture too even though she doesn’t start school till Monday. She was having a bedtime story about starting school. I think she’s fine with it and when Grace picks Eda up from school tomorrow she will take Jude in to meet her teacher. She already knows where her peg is!
We now get the last two days to spend with Jude as a non school girl!
