Skiddaw rainbow

We were coming down from Whinlatter Pass to be confronted by a spectacular rainbow painting the slopes of Skiddaw.

Of course, by the time we’d found somewhere to park the best had gone. On the A66 approaching Keswick so vivid was the rainbow that it was like the slopes of Latrigg had been doused in multicoloured paint. Again, nowhere to stop!

We had a quick trip to Keswick in a slightly drier interlude.exploring more of Fitz Park and out along the lakeshore as an antidote to this morning’s ’entertainment’ filling in identity forms and the solicitor’s enquiry forms. Talk about repeating information!

It’s quite disconcerting to find that the solicitor’s app requires you to have completed the identity check , provided by a different company which in turn takes you to yet another company that takes photos and videos of you as part of the check.

Anyway, one advantage of it being digital was that within a few seconds of us completing all the checks we were informed that our identity had been confirmed.

This evening we were invited next door to our landlords for a drink and a discussion about our continuing to stay in the flat. They were delighted we wanted to continue. And we had a most enjoyable conversation about pretty much anything you could think of. And they knew blippers Trev and Ros
