Oak

A somewhat busy day!
The plan for the morning was to do housework and a bit of admin while a plumber was here fitting a new pump for our solar water heating system (of course it was raining so we don't yet know if it's working).
I kept getting interrupted by phone calls and having to do emails to get some info for the admin, but I did get quite a bit done.
Then get a meal and go to the ponds for the volunteering session, a day later than usual this month, where we did cutting back vegetation and invasive specied removal. The trees are generally doing well, but the oaks have gall wasp infestations. The rain had stopped by this time, contrary to forecast.
Home mid-afternoon for more admin and phone calls before the evening run and the group I was with finished just as a heavy and prolonged shower started.
Then to get petrol (Mr Rat has always done it before and I had to find out how to open the fuel "door") and then a meeting in the coffee place with a couple of the running group leaders.
Home and food, and a few more things on the  laptop and it'll be bed soon before another busy day tomorrow.
