Holly and Hunter in the garden.

The Feast Day of Saint Birinus.

Status : Bishop, Missionary. He was a Frankish Benedictine monk.

Patron Saint of Berkshire and Dorchester.

Born : c 600, France.
Died: 3rd December 649/650. Dorchester, England.

Saint Birinus was made Bishop by Asterius, in Genoa. He was sent to England in 634 by Pope Honorius1. St Birinus spread Christianity across Wessex in the southwest of England. He converted King Cynegils of Wessex, whose baptism into the Church at that time, facilitated an alliance with King Oswald of Northumbria.

After a night of rain showers, the weather became dry, cold and sunny. It is 20.6c in the living room and
78f in the conservatory.

Holly returned for her breakfast and Jasper also ate breakfast but in the Utility room. Much later, Hunter came home and enjoyed a meal in the conservatory.

I walked to Nisa to buy I newspaper and The People's Friend.

I spent a short while in the garden.

I hope you enjoy your Thursday afternoon and evening.
