A view from Jeanneb

Traditional..

.. first day back photo.

Very heavy rain in the night and unfortunately there was still rain when it came time for Eda to head off to school.

John is here taking the traditional photo with me taking a picture of him taking it!  From our ‘eyrie’ bedroom I watched Grace set off on the bike with Eda behind her cloaked in a waterproof poncho. By 9.00 am it was sunny!

We had Jude of course so a little later we went down to Larkhall to get a few things and as there were a few spots of rain we popped into the french cafe for coffee and croissants. A treat for us all. Extra

Sunny again when we came out so after delivering some apple chutney to Jude’s nursery friend’s mum who gave us a bag full of apples last month, we popped into Alice Park. We immediately found lots of conkers. A few week  ago Eda and I wondered if there were going to be any but suddenly there seems to be lots. We looked in vain for an Oak tree for some acorn ‘ hats’ on our way up to the pond.. Some super big dragon flies one green, one red but I didn’t attempt a photo with only my phone. Jude was a bit scared of them!

Whilst there I got a call from Grace asking if we could take her hard drive over to her school. She’s having a few problems transferring some of her old files onto her new lap top.
Again the rain was starting so we headed home and then drove over to Landsdowne Road to deliver the hard drive. (Chris could have gone on his own but I couldn’t resist a nosy)
Such a short journey compared with her previous drive into Bristol and no doubt it will be pretty different from an inner city school working there.
I didn’t like to take a picture but I did sneak one of the rather grand entrance - extra 2

Grace has just been back to collect Jude to take her to meet her teacher when she picks Eda up. It’s sunny again now but there was a real downpour just on school pick up time. Typical.

Waiting for them to come back to quickly get them ready for ballet which starts again today at 4.30. We’ll pick them up as Grace gas to be elsewhere. As usual it’s all go!
(I've also been sewing more ballet elastics on this afternoon!)y

Will have to hope they send me a picture of Jude starting her first day next Monday.
