Trees

It’s been a busy day. By the time I’d done all the exercises for my knee I had to get ready to walk down to Philosophy group. On the way to the path through the field I spotted Ros and Geoff outside their car so asked if I could get a lift with them as they usually go too. However it transpired that their dog had died last night so they needed a bit of time together at the beach which is where they were heading. The walk of almost a mile did me good though the few steep steps on the way back weren’t easy.

Only 4 of us were there. After a lot of chitchat about cats we got underway but not before the others were surmising the reason we had problems in society was because we had too many one-parent families. I was right thinking the group - or some of the people in it - weren’t for me. The tutor managed 33 “ers” in one statement. Well some were maybe “ums”. I’d lost the thread by the time he got it all out.

When I got home at 12 Mr C announced the apples were, after all, ready to pick, so I got started peeling and chopping to microwave for the freezer. This meant I was rushed for Art appreciation so I had to take the car. It was really enjoyable. Ros had gone to a lot of trouble to make a presentation about trees in art. She started with a cave painting and finished with Annie Ovendon. This painting surprised me - any guesses as to the artist? I’ll tell tomorrow if anyone is interested.

We are going to Chris’s to eat tonight. I asked if she’d like any courgettes but I’ve had no reply.

Ella had Spanish today. So far she likes all her teachers. I have no news of James.
