Back to school photos
I had a slow start today as my knee was painful and woke me a lot during the night.
I looked out some old material off-cuts to repair some tapestry cushions at Sue’s for Knit and Stitch group this afternoon. - the previous backings had frayed and gone tatty so I thought it would be a good chance to take them off and replace them. It’s easier for me to do mindless tasks than complex patterns when there’s a lot of chat going on. Three women quite new to the village were there. Joan, Carol from Ayrshire and Bernadette from Warwickshire. She’s doing a PhD on the poet Elizabeth Jennings. Her husband takes the Philosophy group which I might give up. I find his manner of saying “em” several times between each word disconcerting. I’m not sure I’m learning anything or enjoying it so it’s on borrowed time.
I’m looking forward to FaceTime with Jo in Cornwall tonight.
Here’s the annual back to school photos of left to right Ella, Nathaniel, James and Thomas. Ella said her first day at high school had been good but she’d rather be at middle school. The boys were all happy chappies so let’s hope that lasts - with James in mind.
