Another Day
Today has been lovely, which was probably because we had the best night's sleep we've had in about a week. I actually was up before Little Man, and was able to get ready for the day before I had to wake him up for school. We didn't have to pump up my bike tyres this morning (see yesterday's post). As I was biking home I took this photo of a swan and her almost grown [currected] cygnet. There's a lot of [currected] cygnet that are on the verge of losing their baby feathers.
I did a few things around the house, like wrapping Little Man's birthday presents for tomorrow, before I made a sandwich for him and headed to the hairdresser's. Whilst I was on route, I got a call from Little Man's school asking me to change his nappy whilst I was on route to the hairdresser's. I had enough time to get to school, change Little Man's nappy and then biked to the hairdresser's before my appointment.
I've been growing my hair out, but long experience has taught me that my hair needs regular cuts to stay healthy. I box dyed my hair for about 6 months and then had it dyed professionally in at the end of June 2024. The dyed parts of my hair have been drying out very fast and tangling quickly. The last few times I've had my hair cut, I've asked that as much of the dyed hair get cut as possible. Now, all that's left of the dyed hair is a bit of my fringe. My hair is pretty fly away and the shorter it is the more crazier it tends to look. So the hairdresser didn't cut all the dyed hair out of my fringe. See the extra photo for the final result.
I collected Little Man and came home. We had a quiet afternoon at home, had dinner and then a bath. Hannah, my sister, called. We haven't been able to catch up recently.
Then Little Man went to bed without any fuss, or asking me to sit in his room for a while. Its the first time I haven't had to this in about four or five days now.
