Another Unicorn

A day where it was a struggle to stay polite.

First thing to rattle my cage - apparently being available on the phone and an active member of various groups has rendered me invisible and certain managers think it's time to increase my visibilty.  Maybe a hi-vis vest and a trumpet would help.

Second thing - I'd sent a mail asking permission to attend a conference, the Application Development Languages Guide.  It's a very technical conference where you hear about the newest developments in COBOL, PL/I and Assembler - all mainframe things, you know, where I'm considered an expert.  My bosses decided that my team boss with zero mainfame experience should go in my place.

It must be Motivation Week.

Is it just me or is there more than a whiff of deliberate stupidity around here?
