Miles and miles
I actually slept reasonably reasonably, with a weird dream about water taxis in Papua New Guinea. The terrain is so steep that the rivers are more like flumes, and we plummeted merrily down to the city. It didn't seem at all unusual that the boats could power themselves uphill just as easily.
Only a slightly long day today but I got another headache in the afternoon and rearranged a long meeting I was meant to chair.
After a long chat with my neighbour after finishing I headed out for a bike ride. The peripatetic tree surgeons are still at Bush. I left and for fun took the path up to the A702, and then remembered a nearby milestone I'd not looked at before, so I went there and looked at it. It's similar to those on the A701 but has a tapered front . Alas its distances are long gone; once upon a time it would have announced to the valiant stage coach driver that Edinburgh was but 6 miles away. The stone itself was re-erected in 2020.
From there I rode back through Bush and onwards to the supermarket for bits and pieces, and home for another homemade veggie wrap for a late tea.
