Unusually, I was I was physically in work for a fourth consecutive day, but I just about managed to get home in time to have some tea and then get out again and down the hill to Saltaire for some live music.

Melissa Carper was headlining, with Bonnie Montgomery in support, although Melissa joined Bonnie for half her set, and Bonnie joined Melissa for two thirds of hers. Both Texas based, but Arkansas rooted, they performed a fine selection of their self-penned country songs, with a lot of humour and plenty of western swing. Greg Harkins accompanied on guitar. Their European tour is almost over, but next stop is The Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne. Recommended.
