Wound up in Wexford

Recipe books

Quite a productive day.  This morning, I spent an hour or so weeding and dead heading whilst W did some more strimming in the meadow.  Then I went to get a hair cut whilst W waited in for a delivery - a very large (25kg) box of mixed daffodil bulbs (that should keep us busy this autumn!) and some yellow rattle seed.

Then we finished sorting our Irish tax forms, and found out, from our rather expensive tax advisor what the difference (in tax speak) is between resident, ordinarily resident, and domiciled.

And I did a bit of fluting.

And last, but by no means least, we've managed, less than 2½ years after moving in, to get the remaining recipe books onto a shelf.  We pared down massively from this before moving!  But they've been in a box since then.  W adapted a 600mm kitchen wall cupboard that we brought from Norfolk - "it might come in useful".  After we'd put it up, W reminded me that one of the first times I visited him at his "forever home" in Brundall, I helped him to put up a shelf for his recipe books in his kitchen there!

This evening W, despite now having full access to these books, still used the Internet to source a recipe for using a tin of mixed beans.
