On This Day

Geometry 2

A few weeks ago I mentioned that we went to the printmakers' exhibition at Stirling University. This is the print we brought home. The maker, Masha Tiplady, says,

"Carved on 3 blocks of linoleum, individually inked with highly pigmented oil based ink and hand printed on premium heavyweight paper.

Featuring my favourite dried plants I have in abundance in my studio: rise hips, honesty and hogweed. The design of the vase (that I'd like to make one day) and the colour scheme have got a mid century feel to them".

I love it. Making the blip was tricky because of annoying reflections but I've done what I can. In the process I've not managed to render the rich colours exactly as they are.

This blip doesn't represent my day which is going to be spent travelling. I'm off to rendezvous with the Palma Pals (we used to go to Majorca for an annual holiday before flying became an activity  some of us try to avoid) for a few days. I know I won't be able to do much on blip because I want to be in the moment.

Looking forward to our destination which is almost unknown to me. Think I might have been there once.

Question: is anyone else experiencing a very high number of blip views? 100s more than usual? I think the abacus has gone wonky.
