Getting into the Swing of Things

Trying to get back into the swing of things here. Our two new residents, however, seem to be quite comfortable, swinging away on our patio. Not quite their own land of Paraty, Brasil, but I hope they’ll feel at home!

Apart from some work and more settling in, we took our sandwich to our local park, took off our sandals, and enjoyed our lunch break there, in the shade. After a walk in the evening we had a pizza round the corner. Nice welcome back from the owner.

For my own records, I filled in the online form for lost property with Schipol Airport, having left my much-loved orange cashmere shawl on the plane when we arrived in Amsterdam. I bought it when we lived in London over 20 years ago. It wasn’t cheap but I’ve had more than my money’s worth! Fingers crossed it turns up.
