Beautiful Birthday Girl
Today was Aimee's birthday - she would have been 35. I spent the morning thinking and crying and looking back through old pictures. I had a long chat with my sister who was crying too remembering the good times and 'air brushing' the difficult two years when Aimee was poorly.
OH home from golf at lunchtime and said he had felt sad too but men don't really talk to each other about such things? Although there is a chap at the golf club who lost a daughter aged 28 so they do talk to each other.
We were meeting James for dinner so showered and changed and headed up to London. AMAZING italian restaurant in Bermondsey (how that place has changed in the last 15/20 years). Food was wonderful and atmosphere buzzing - good to see James and he paid - and when I text him after to say thank you he said he was happy as 'thank you for all our love and continuing support'. Bless him - Aimee would be pleased xx
Train gods were with us and we left London bridge at 7.45 and indoors with the kettle on at 8.45 - maybe a record?
The day ended much better than it started and I had lots of messages from friends and Aimee's friends remembering her birthday - such kind people. Thank you for being there and reaching out xx
