Backendish.
The garden is beginning to look ‘ backendish’.
Buddleia now finished flowering.
Petunias looking very bedraggled after the rain.
The blue agapanthus flowers are turning into large seed pods.
However the bright yellow helianthus are still attracting the bees and the fuchsias are still going strong.
Started the day with a visit to Dewsbury A&E.
MrC knocked his arm yesterday when we were sorting out the hut.
Although having a long sleeved fleece and shirt on because his skin is so thin there was quite a gash.
I put a plaster on it but realised this morning it needed some attention.
We thought we might be in for a long wait, but as soon as we had checked in and then sat down he was called through.
The nurse managed to stop the bleeding, unpeel the thin piece of skin and place it over the wound. Put a large dressing over it, which he has to leave on for 5 days, and by then it will hopefully have started to heal.
I can’t thank the NHS and Dewsbury hospital enough. Filled in a form which gave them full marks.
So this afternoon I rubbed teak oil over the garden table and chairs ready to put them away for the winter.
Have told MrC he needs to take care of his arm until it has healed properly. Of course it would have to be his right arm.
