Sunny Saturday

A lovely warm Saturday albeit with a bit of breeze.
Eda was off early to her Curtain Up drama class which started again today. Grace normally goes to bar but was too late booking a place. So she rather reluctantly decided to go for a run.

I took this picture of the Cosmos growing in front of the living room windows, I thought they looked good against the Bath stone. We brought them down as rather straggly plants back in a very hot July together with some sunflowers. The heavy rain earlier this week has finished off the sunflowers but the Cosmos are looking great, much better than ours at home which suffered when we were away for two weeks.

Jude had gone down to the garage with daddy as he was fixing the brakes on Grace’s bike and Jude had gone armed with a sponge to clean her bike while Grace finally got off on her run. The cleaning, unsurprisingly,  didn’t last long and when I looked she had made herself a house of umbrellas despite the sunny weather - extra. I considered using this for silly Saturday especially as the breeze kept blowing them away, but I felt she featured well yesterday and I do appreciate all your stars, hearts and kind comments for that.

Eda was back with friends by lunch time so we said our goodbyes afterwards and left at about 3.00 pm.

It was fine all the way home and I think they will be enjoying a fine evening at the Beer Festival in the field across from Eda’s school. Three neighbour families were meeting at 4.00 pm and walking there for the 4.30 start. (Grace was going to a baby something or other in Bristol for one of her am dram group friends there)

We’ve had an unexpected but most enjoyable week, a privilege to spend the last couple of pre school days with Jude and now it’s only 2 weeks till we’re back for birthdays and The Adam’s Family!
