Brambles

Isn't this no just a wee plastic box fair burstin' with late summer loverliness? Walked the 7 miles(ish) to the Saltcoats Asda to get the ingredients for tonight's repast, picking these brambles at the shore near Seamill. Then home to prepare Mrs C's tea of red lentil, spinach, red cabbage & asparagus dahl with grilled aubergine, followed by an apple and banana dessert, covered in a bramble & rhubarb coulis - rhubarb and apples from the garden. Washed down with a rhubarb vodka. Some brownie points from Mrs C.
