Red Dragonfly 1

Took a walk to Largs the long way yesterday (15.5 miles). There were still plenty of these gorgeous high-summer dragonflies around - probably a Highland Darter (Sympetrum nigrescens). This one was resting in glinting sunshine next to the pond at Fins Restaurant south of Fairlie.
