Cuttings

These are Dahlia cuttings being prepared for planting-out when the rainy season comes in November. The plan is to continue making hedges of dahlia as boundaries around all our fields, and also in the urban gardens.
We use the leaves as a fertiliser either alone or in compost.
We use it alone or with another amazing plant called Tephrosia, which we also use for making pesticides.
These two plants, almost alone, supply all our needs in fertiliser and pest control , so no need to buy expensive artificial fertilizer or noxious chemical pesticides. All our farming is done this way, all sixty ares.
