Seedheads

The time for photographing seedheads is approaching. Summer is not quite over, but there are hints of Autumn - from cooler evenings, to leaves beginning to fall, to flowers fading and seedheads taking their place.

After a long day walking round London yesterday, followed by a four hour drive home along the motorway, arriving home at about 11.30pm and finally getting to bed about 1.00am, I was tired today and after visiting a jewellers to get my son a watch for his twenty first birthday, didn't do very much, so my blip today was just in the garden.

The seeds are columbine seeds, the flowers long gone, but I've been admiring the colours and textures of the grouped seed pods for a while now, so it seemed a good opportunity to photograph them and provide a blip at the same time. No doubt there will be more seeds and seed pods as we move into Autumn.
