The German name translates to something like "Shiny gold running beetle", which works quite well.

Off work early today because tonight is the Company's Annual Party.

They've chosen the theme of "Magical Islands" and five areas around the head office will be transformed into something that reflects the island culture. The islands are:-
Jamaica - which will have reggae music, barbecues and cocktails.
Ibiza - which will have Tapas, flamenco (don't blame me) and then later a disco (house music).
Sylt - very German - Wurst, Bier und so forth.
Ireland - they have Guinness, folk musik and an Irish pub theme.
And finally - Great Britain. Where you can party on with a cup of tea and some fairy cakes. I kid you not.

I think that's pretty funny.

The party runs from 5 this afternoon to 3 in the morning. And I'm sure it will be a huge amount of fun.
