The start of the rugby season!

A glorious sunny day today, theoretically the last day of our summer. It has been the best summer for many years, and next week it is still going to be in the mid twenties, so that is still summer to me.

Luke has been on pre-season rugby training all week (school only starts next week Wednesday) and today they played in a rugby festival in Reigate. It was wonderful to see the new 1st XV playing, they are a good pack this year and should do well this season. Today they won all their matches with ease, and watching in the glorious sunshine and blue skies...well, what's not to like about that?

I felt quite sad at the thought that this is the last term I will ever watch Luke play rugby. Next year he will be off to university and although he may play for a college team there it won't be the same and we will not be able to see all his matches.
