Pershore Abbey

Most of Pershore Abbey was demolished during the Reformation, but the 13th Century Choir was bought by the parishioners and remains. It is vast and very impressive, and has a remarkable figure of Christ high up. What is so impressive is that the figure is a paper sculpture. It is hard to believe, but it is simply curved and folded sheets of paper. The focus is not brilliant, but the light wasn't good and my hand's not that steady!

We visited Pershore during the afternoon after a hard morning's singing, with another session lurking in the evening.
