Great basins of the world - no.1

In Holland House, Cropthorne (see Cathaber's blip here), where we are attending this singing weekend, there is this beautiful wash-hand-basin. I don't know its age. It has an extraordinary brass plug mechanism, which makes the common rubber stopper on a bit of chain seem like a miracle of simplicity in comparison!
