Bargain Shrub

Several years ago we were given this clematis as a freebie at the garden centre for spending a fortune. Ever since it has thrown out greenery every year despite being broken off and mowed down and attacked by animals etc.....but never the sign of a flower has there been. Then suddenly this summer several buds appeared which we have nurtured with interest. I don't know what kind of clematis it is, or if this is the full extent of the bloom but with this high wind we have had for the last couple of days I thought I'd better blip it before it gets blown away!
