Didn't Stir It Up!

I chickened out of shooting this hornets' nest at Great Amwell Nature Reserve after a few shots when I found it a while ago but a mate sent me some nice pics this morning so I thought I'd have another go. Didn't try to capture them in flight this time.

They were whizzing in and out around my head but seemed too busy to worry about me being close. I've chosen this shot as it shows the actual fabric of the nest. Chewed up wood with variations of colour showing the layers.
