Mascot Crazy

The Japanese love their mascots; they appear to be obsessed with these colourful characters. Designed to represent national parks, airports, TV stations, historical landmarks and even cities as well as sports teams, retail products and outlets. You find them everywhere! They are at times incredibly cute but they can also be utterly random & just a little bit ridiculous in equal amounts.

This little guy is the local Co-op store mascot and he was very popular with both adults and kids!

It's more than mascot status. It hero worship.
