Who's an Ugly Duckling?

This afternoon MaggieD and I took a run over to Linlithgow and a stroll round the loch. There were not as many wildfowl as usual but there was a lovely little group of cygnets who just seemed to want to say "hello" to all the walkers.
Now please allow me a brief rant. This morning, while walking Rona round the wood, we came across one of the wooden benches which had been installed for the benefit of walkers like ourselves. The back had been prised off and possibly burned in the bonfire beside it; one end had been smashed off and again possibly burned and a birch tree at the side had been broken off and partially burned. A couple of young "gentlemen" with a quad bike and a motor bike were seen the previous evening in the vicinity by some walkers and the matter has been advised to the proper authorities. These scum are not welcome in the wood and we will be keeping eyes open for them from now on. I hate this mindless, pointless vandalism!
