Life through the lens...

Late summer beauty

Just one of the lovely dahlias at Golden Acre Park, Leeds. More photos on my Blipfolio see here
Hannah came for the day again, and we decided to go over to Golden Acre Park, Leeds.

A walk round the lake, and then into the woods to look for the squirrels.
It didn't take long to find them as some small children were feeding them peanuts.

Once the children had gone Hannah and I were surrounded by them. Obviously looking for more nuts. They were getting a bit too close so we left rather quickly!

Lunch sat out on the café terrace.
Hannah couldn't resist a hot chocolate, but as the sun got quite hot, She realised she had ordered the wrong thing!
Never mind, an ice cream soon cooled her down!

The gardens looked beautiful. Wonderful vegetables too.

Got a few tips from one of the gardeners on how to grow the best sweat peas, so will have a go next year!

Hope this was not the last summers day!
