Wringing Out the Last of it

Can't continue to be this nice around here for much longer, can it? It's Scotland. And September. Felt, and looked, more like somewhere much removed form that place and time today. Not that I'm complaining of course.

For somewhere that was engineered as a reservoir to provide power to keep the local mines pumped free of water, it was pretty peaceful picnicking on bacon crisps out on the 'beach' this afternoon, half way through a scenic and bumpy detour home (the off-road tracks up around here are a bit more of a challenge when your back end's loaded up like a pack mule).

Gloriously grin inducing though.
