Zen Garden

Another busy hot day followed by meeting after work.
A late evening excursion to find a blip for Mono Month.
Ended up down the harbour opposite Union Square.
Never thought of it as an area for quiet contemplation.
However, outside one of the shipping offices
was a little gravel Zen Garden
or at least that is what I think it was meant to be.

Zen
" means "to think about anything"
and
"arrive at the contemplation of".
The purpose of the mini-garden of Zen
is to give you the
"feeling of the moment",
freeing up mind from life's fleeting domestic troubles.

According to Eastern philosophy Buddhism,
Zen Garden is quintessence symbolizes the excitement
and serenity that can give a sense of grandeur to the practicing
and the balance through the contemplation of stones and sculptures.
Will never again view the dockside in the same way....
