The Milky Way

As I was heading to bed just before midnight I poked my head out of the back door - two hours later I finally got to bed! The sky was just so clear and beautiful that I had to get re-dressed and go outside.

This is my first attempt at Milky Way photography and I'm really pleased with how they've come out, I even managed to get a shooting star (edit: actually it may be a satellite) in this one, which was taken just after midnight, just a few steps from my house.
