The Last Word on Voting Day

I thoroughly enjoyed handing out "how to vote" cards this morning. A lot of camaraderie between the rival parties... no animosity whatsoever and watching the stream of locals queuing to vote is quite wonderful. Here you get the full cross-section of humanity. I'm sure that this seat will stay firmly liberal but I feel sort of re-assured that this country won't go down the gurgler regardless of who gets in. We are indeed still the lucky country. I was handing out Greens cards and got not one negative comment. Ignored on occasions but no-one got nasty.
