Kipper Cabin

Sure sign of Fall ...

The Nerine's just starting to bloom! Bright pink waxy blossoms, and they self propagate like mad. Look at all those buds still to bloom!

There was only one small patch of Nerine when I bought The Kipper, but now they're all over the place. Totally idiot proof. They love too much sun, they love too much rain, the deer won't eat them, when they get a bit impacted you just break the bulbs up with a prong, spread them out a bit, press them into the soil by stepping on them, and off they go again.

Dodgy focus and everything else on this blip (that's my style). I had to rush out and snap away in the dark, due to ....

Pond trouble .... filter's overflowing for no apparent reason. Battled for a few hours tonight. Fred offered some dazzling Grade 12 Physics theory. I blew the pipes out with the Karcher, to no avail. In the end it got really dark and we were muddy, so just unplugged the pump. Fish'll be gasping by morning.

Pond drives me nuts sometimes. Rather nice and quiet out here without that rush of water, though.
