Testing the brakes

James has decided to take himself off to football training tonight on his bike (as it's a busy night for us all) and sensibly thought to test and check the brakes before leaving. They needed tightening and he did that himself.

It felt quite significant to watch him independently choose to do that - rather than ask a parent to "fix it" - and I felt a little emotional.

My garage is better than it was but has once again started to accumulate stuff...

I nearly blipped this fuzzy one of James working on the bike as I really liked the colours, but didn't have the confidence. Would you?
