Lost ....

.... in a maze of corridors at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. I certainly didn't expect to be back here so soon and not under these circumstances!

My husband had a GP's appointment this morning for some "routine" tests, so I went off to Edinburgh with friends to see the Great Tapestry of Scotland. The best laid plans etc etc! I'd just got off the bus in Edinburgh when I had a phone call from my husband to say he was waiting for an ambulance to take him to hospital. These "routine" tests had shown up a problem with his heart and he wasn't allowed to drive there.

I immediately caught the next bus back to Perth, collected my car and drove (very fast) to Dundee. By the time I'd got parked (what a nightmare that is!), I arrived in the Emergency Ward just after he did. He was wired up to various machines and spent the day having one test after another. So far the results have been inconclusive, so he's being kept in for a day or two to run some more and they'll "take it from there".

When he was offered a meal, I decided to try the hospital canteen, which was fine - until I tried to find my way back to the ward! This photo was taken as I wandered the corridors like a lost soul, with nobody around to ask. Found my way back eventually, but you really need a sat nav in this place:-)

I stayed with my husband until 7.30 pm and have just got home again to feed poor Simba! I doubt if either of us will sleep tonight, so comments may be a bit limited for the next few days, but I'm sure you'll all understand.

Hope you don't mind me sharing this with you:-)
