All Souls' Church - Halifax

Heritage Open Days 12th to 15th September.
Checked the web site for Halifax and found this church was listed as open each of the days 10am to 4pm.
Checked the church website - yes - open each day - 10am to 4pm.
Off we go! Arrived at 2.30 to find it closed :-(
Notice on door stated 'open on the 15th - 12.00 to 15.00' !!
It is listed as having a fabulous ornate marble font - I'll have to take their word for it.
Externally it was very impressive - but a great frustration not to be able to go inside.
Their web site reads thus:
This Halifax landmark is one of most magnificent buildings designed by architect Sir George Gilbert Scott and paid for by Edward Akroyd, a Halifax manufacturer. Scott thought it his best church but he still lamented it was not grander still. Completed in 1859, it has a 72-metre-high spire (236 ft) and dazzling stained glass created by Victorian master craftsmen.
