Pacific Northwest Form of the Song Sparrow

This morning I had a little "window time" watching this cute little song sparrow flit around the backyard, from bush to bush, then to the ground, to the rock, to the bush, to the fountain....he did not stay in one place for more than a second. Even though I had my camera set for a quick shot, many of them were blurred in just one area (his head, or his tail)....he was not going to sit still for pictures, that was for sure! But I finally caught him on the rock!

The Adult Pacific Northwest form of the Song Sparrow is Darker and browner overall than eastern form...and it flits around on the ground in the underbrush.
