The second half of life..

By twigs

Yay!

At last!

New Zealand law has finally seen sense and declared that talking or txting on a hand-held phone whilst driving is dangerous. From November there will be fines of $80 plus 20 demerit points for people caught doing either.

Of course, it would be much much more effective if people simply made a personal choice not to do this because they acknowledged the dangers it creates for themselves and other road users. Legislation won't stop people entirely, but it will hopefully make more people think twice.

And for those who think they're invincible and continue to do it.......I guess a little pain in the pocket is better than a big pain in hospital!
